It has been a long time since I wrote a wrap-up again. Of course, I stopped blogging for a while, and a lot has happened since then. I did my exams in May, and I eventually also graduated. It’s been such a crazy past couple of months, but now that it’s almost July, I finally have time to get some reading done!
Well, back to the point I started writing this blog post… And that is to talk about which books I read in the last couple of months. I read some great, great, great books, which I can’t wait to share them with you! Without any further to so, let’s dive right into the books I have read!
Because I had such a busy and (especially) stressful period, I had planned to read just 2 books. One book a month… That sounds pretty little, but that’s because I just simply did not have time to read. Of course, I would regret reading so little! At the end of these months, of course, I read more than I had planned ;).
I started the month May with reading Everless and Children of Blood and Bone. How awesome could these books be?! I have read them in just a few a days, and therefore give Everless 4 stars and Children of Blood and Bone 5 stars!
Besides Everless and Children of Blood and Bone, I have read two additional books; Warcross by Marie Lu and The Memory Book by Lara Avery. I decided to take a blog break during my exams, so there are no reviews of these two yet to be found. Now that I have a lot of free time, I can blog again, so the reviews are coming soon! I gave Warcross 5 stars, because I thought was such a cool book! It was mind-blowing, and just SO good! If you haven’t read it yet, I can really recommend this novel. The most recent book I have read is The Memory Book by Lara Avery. This is a book that I will not soon forget. Insinuatingly and very intense. But there are also enough beautiful, sweet and funny pieces in the book. This combination ensures that you keep on reading, and keep on loving all of the characters. I therefore give this book 5 stars.
The following months I (finally) have a lot of time to read very, very many books, and I will certainly do that! In the last couple of months, I have left a lot of books on my TBR list. Not only because of my exams, but also because I was in a small reading slump. How? I do not know that either, but I think it was mainly the stress around school. That’s why I decided to start fresh – with a new to be read and finally some free time to read. I’m pretty confident that it’ll work for me this time!
The Everlife series by Gena Showalter

Not her obsession with numbers, but her refusal to let her parents choose where she’ll live — after she dies. There is an eternal truth most of the world has come to accept: Firstlife is merely a dress rehearsal, and real life begins after death.” (…) Goodreads

The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.”
